Dr. Øystein Åmellem has held leadership positions in research and development, product management, and business for over 21 years at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Øystein is responsible for development and commercialization of products and services, including many for the cell therapy market. His training is in the field of molecular cell biology, having received his PhD from the University of Oslo. Øystein’s academic career focused on the study of physiological and molecular mechanisms of tumor cell growth and involved investigating the method of actions for a novel group of anticancer compounds developed by Norsk Hydro.
