Clauvis Nji Tizi Taning is currently working at Ghent University in Belgium as a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering. He is a holder of a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, a Master’s degree in Plant production, a Postgraduate Diploma in Biosafety in Plant Biotechnology and a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences. He is involved in projects spanning from fundamental to applied aspects in insect sciences.
In his multidisciplinary research, he combines different modern techniques in biotechnology, such as Genome editing, RNAi, Bioinformatics, Phytochemical analysis, Genomics, Virus engineering and Bacteria engineering to develop novel insect-specific strategies for pest control and sustainable IPM systems. He has published and reviewed a number of articles in well-known international journals and has given many invited lectures and presentations in different countries.
