Nico TanEnviromental Risk Assessor at CTGB
Nico Tan has over 15 years’ experience in fate and behaviour of chemicals in the environment. After his Ph.D. on anaerobic and aerobic waste water treatment, he specialized as postdoc in environmental microbiology and biotechnology. After his academic career Nico got involved in the registration of chemicals, pharmaceuticals and plant protection products as a study director fate and behaviour at NOTOX (nowadays Charles Rivers). Last nine years Nico is working as environmental risk assessor at the Dutch Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides the CTGB. Last five years he is actively involved in the registration of biopesticides (micros, botanicals and pheromones) and he is also responsible for the implementation of new assessment framework and the updates of the CTGB Evaluation Manual on PPP and biocides.
