Noemí Herrero is the R&D Manager of Grupo Agrotecnología. She studied Biology at the University of Salamanca (Spain) where she also received her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Genetics. She did predoctoral stays at the Imperial College of London and worked as a postdoc at prestigious research institutions, as the Fondazione Edmund Mach in Italy or the Czech Academy of Sciences. She has focused most of her research in the study of beneficial microorganisms with potential in agricultural systems. Specifically, she dedicated many of her studies to the discovery of new viruses from endophytic and entomopathogenic fungi, and to the study of some of the effects that these mycovirueses produce on their fungal hosts. During her time in Academia she authored and co-authored 15 peer reviewed articles, three book chapters, and presented 18 communications at scientific congresses.
