Professor Andrew George is a Non-Executive Director of the Health Research Authority, and chaired the expert group on research transparency. He is also on the board of Health Education England and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Chair of Imperial College Health Partners. His academic background is as an immunologist, where he developed therapies (antibody and gene-mediated) for cancer and transplantation.
