Robert Dingwall
Professor of Sociology at Nottingham Trent University, UK


Robert Dingwall is a consulting sociologist ( and part-time professor at Nottingham Trent University. He has previously studied or worked at the Universities of Cambridge, Aberdeen, Oxford and Nottingham. He has wide international experience in teaching and research at the intersections between law, medicine, science and technology.  He is currently a member of UK government advisory groups on the Covid-19 pandemic, a field in which he has worked since 2005, including consultancy for Roche on the ethical use of oseltamivir. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and an Honorary Member of the Faculty of Public Health.
