Mechanical/marine engineer and chartered engineer (U.K.) with 22 years’ experience in the Maritime, Oil & Gas and Renewable sectors, equipped with 7 years in teaching and advise culturally diverse students in the maritime higher education.

Currently holding the position of Director for Regulatory Standards for the Liberian Registry in the HQ Dulles, VA and part of the LNG and Alternative Fuel Global team of LISCR

He was a former chief marine engineer with 10 years seagoing experience on variety of ships (bulk carriers, VLCC, product carriers and MPP vessels), in 2012 moved to shore and started a career in the field of marine surveying then moved to maritime education and training, he was an Assistant Professor at SUNY Maritime College where he established the LNG Center of Excellence in charge of development and implementation of best practices, research, support and training for Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) for ships and built partnerships between SUNY and the LNG industry in North America

He was a class surveyor with Lloyd’s Register in New York.


He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects RINA (UK), member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science, and Technology IMarEST (UK), member at the International Institute of Marine Surveying IIMS. He is a registered Chartered Engineer CENG (UK)
