John Eaton

GM Routing & Services at StormGeo

John Eaton is the General Manager for Weather Routing Services at StormGeo with nearly 25 years of experience in the maritime industry. John is responsible for supporting StormGeo’s routing and voyage performance services to ship owners, managers, pool operators, and charterers. In addition, John serves as an account manager for the Americas where he works closely with clients to ensure they are getting maximum value from StormGeo’s best in class decarbonization solutions on route optimization, emissions, and fleet performance. John has served various roles at StormGeo, starting out as a route analyst before moving into voyage performance and finally client services, where he has served in a management role for the last 10 years.

John’s passion for the weather and the ocean began at a young age growing up surfing and fishing on the Jersey Shore and then later attending Plymouth State University to study Meteorology and Climate. John’s professional career started out in New York as a forecaster for film production and professional sports teams before he moved into marine forecasting in the late 90’s. John is now based out of the Bay Area in California.
