Vice President Sales - Northeast at Hapag-Lloyd Americas

PJ McGrath is responsible for all Hapag Lloyd sales efforts in a territory covering Maryland Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and all of New England. In this territory Hapag Lloyd Operates in 5 core trades Import and Exports (Transpac, Atlantic, Latin America, India Sub Con/Middle East, and Oceania). The territory includes a wide range of customers from Manufacturing, Big Box Retail, Chemical, NVOCC, and a range of Exempt Commodities. These accounts are using 32 direct ship systems and countless connection options across the globe.

PJ graduated Robert Morris University in 1991 with a double major in Marketing and Logistics. After holding several positions with multiple domestic LTL trucking companies, he moved to an international shipping career with Hapag Lloyd in 1997.

In 20 years with Hapag Lloyd PJ held various positions in Trade Management and Sales spanning North America and Asia. PJ is currently using his expertise to grow the Tri State/New England area after gaining experience through 3 major alliance changes and 3 Mergers.

PJ lives at home in Middletown NJ with his wife two children and two dogs. The family loves music, shows, the NJ beaches as well as travelling the world.
