Tom is a partner in Blank Rome’s New York office and is co-chair of the firm’s maritime and international trade practice, co-chair of the maritime industry team, and a member of our Maritime Emergency Response Team. He concentrates on shipping contract disputes, charterparty disputes, cargo damage claims, and salvage disputes. Tom gets involved in a wide variety of domestic and international matters, including marine casualty and collision cases; vessel limitation of liability actions; maritime bankruptcies; and marine insurance coverage disputes, including protection and indemnity, marine liability, cargo, and war-risk insurance coverage issues. In addition, he acts in charterparty disputes; cargo damage claims; offshore pipeline installation and construction projects; maritime commercial and “treasure” salvage and general average disputes; and maritime attachment and vessel arrest actions. Tom is a co-author of Time Charters and co-editor of The Law of Salvage, and an avid sailor, who races boats in Connecticut.
