Florence AbebeAssistant Chief Legal Officer at Federal Competition and Consumer Commission of Nigeria
Florence Abebe is an Assistant Chief Legal Officer with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (Commission), Nigeria. She is currently deployed to the office of the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) as his technical and resource personnel. Florence is a Lead Competition Analyst with the Commission, she undertakes several statutory investigations, Mergers & Acquisition analysis and is involved in drafting several Regulations, and Guidelines.
As part of the EVC’s office, Florence represents the Commission as focal person in several departmental committees within and outside the Commission, she is a focal person for various development partners, with respect to competition and consumer protection such as the World Bank, the Federal Trade Commission, MacArthur Foundation, GEM3, and UNIDO.
Florence was recently elected as Chairman Competition Consultative Committee of the ECOWAS Regional Competition Authority, in recognition of her outstanding capacity as a competition expert, and dynamic regulatory skills.
She is a vibrant team player, productive and possessing strong industrial and methodological competencies.
