Rezzi IngemarssonCase Handler, DG Competition at European Commission
Rezzi is part of the unit dedicated to antitrust in e-commerce and the data economy, in the European Commission’s Directorate General (DG) for Competition. The unit was set up following the Commission’s e-commerce sector inquiry and has been heavily involved in the upcoming Digital Markets Act.
Before joining DG Competition, Rezzi was an associate in the Brussels office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where her worked focused on high-profile state aid, merger control and antitrust matters. She also trained in the legal service of the UK Competition and Markets Authority and DG Competition’s antitrust unit focused on the IT, internet and consumer electronics sectors. She is a contributor to the latest edition of Electronic Communications, Audiovisual Services and the Internet - EU Competition Law and Regulation – Garzaniti (Sweet & Maxwell, 2020).
Rezzi is a qualified barrister, called to the Bar of England and Wales (Inner Temple) and admitted to practice in Ireland and the Brussels Bar. She holds an LLM in competition law from King’s College London and a law and Spanish degree from the University of Edinburgh.
