Dr. Luu graduated as the First Laureate from Hanoi Law University (Class 2004) and has an LL.M and Ph.D. (in Competition Law) from the National University of Singapore (2012). She is currently the Deputy Head of Labour Law, Social Security and General Affairs Division, Civil and Economic Law Department, Ministry of Justice (MOJ) of Vietnam. Before joining the MOJ, she worked as an Associate Professor at Hanoi Law University and a Senior Advisor for ANVLaw Lawyers & Consultants. Her research interests are principally in competition law, commercial law, WTO law and dispute resolution. She has published several book chapters and articles in this area including “Vietnam” in Katrina Groshinski, Jackie Mortensen (ed), “Competition Law in Asia-Pacific: A Practitioner's Guide”, Kluwer Law International, 2014 (ISBN 9789041140432) and “Regional Harmonization of Competition Law and Policy: An ASEAN Approach”, (2012) 2:2 Asian Journal of International Law, 291-321 and has co-authored the official Textbook on Vietnam’s Competition Law for Hanoi Law University (in Vietnamese) –the first-ever competition law textbook of Hanoi Law University and a highly regarded textbook in Vietnam. She has also given presentations in both English and Vietnamese in various international and domestic workshops and conferences in this area.
