Dorothy Hansberry-Bieguńska is a partner in Hansberry Tomkiel in Warsaw. She was a senior trial attorney in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. She led litigation teams in investigations and prosecutions of criminal and civil violations of the US antitrust laws in federal courts throughout the US. On behalf of the Department of Justice, she also served as an advisor to several competition authorities in Eastern and Central Europe.
She was the general counsel of UPC Poland and went on to manage another Polish media company. After heading a competition practice team in a large Polish law firm, she and Małgorzata Krasnodębska-Tomkiel, a former Chairman of the Polish Competition Authority, founded Hansberry Tomkiel. Ms. Hansberry-Bieguńska’s focus is on all forms of competition law litigation.
Ms. Hansberry-Bieguńska, who is also Irish and Polish, is a Board Member of the Irish Polish Chamber of Commerce. In 2019, the US Ambassador appointed Ms. Hansberry-Bieguńska to sit on the Fulbright Scholarship Board.
