Profile

Nóra VÁCZI graduated in 2001 at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public Administration and joined the Hungarian Competition Authority in the same year. She worked as a case handler on various cases concerning the telecoms and media sectors. Between 2008 and 2010 Nóra was seconded to the European Commission’s DG Information Society and Media, where she took part in the assessment of national regulatory authorities’ draft measures and also contributed to the adoption of the Commission’s Recommendation on the regulatory treatment of fixed and mobile termination rates. From 2010 she has been a member of the Hungarian Competition Authority’s decision-making body and has been dealing with antitrust, merger and consumer protection issues.
