Profile

Stefan Ruech is a senior case handler with the Austrian Federal Competition Authority since 2016, where he is dealing with all aspects of Austrian competition and merger control law. He is also part of the authority’s Legal Service focusing on questions of principle, leading inspections as well as the European Competition Network (ECN). Before joining the Federal Competition Authority, Stefan worked as an attorney at law for an international Austrian law firm advising clients in all aspects of Austrian and European competition and merger control law, including proceedings in front of the Austrian Federal Competition Authority and the Cartel Court as well as the European Commission. Stefan holds degrees from the University of Innsbruck (Mag. iur. 2010) and the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein (Mag. (FH) 2005).
