Profile
Anthony Lavers is Counsel in the Construction & Engineering Group at the London office of White & Case. He undertakes legal research and advice, and has worked on contentious and non-contentious matters in over 25 countries in 5 continents. He is also engaged in training and business development activity within the firm. Anthony has over 100 publications, mainly on construction law subjects; he was Co-author of FIDIC Contracts: Law and Practice (Informa 2009) and Co-editor of Studies in European Construction Law (ESCL 2015). In 2006, he was awarded a D.Litt by the University of Portsmouth for ‘published work of high distinction’ and in 2008 became a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Throughout his professional career, he has maintained his academic work and has been Visiting Professor of Law at King’s College, London since 2016. A former Chairman of the UK Society of Construction Law (2004-6), he has given presentations at the European Society of Construction Law in Stockholm, Prague, Athens, Amsterdam, Liege, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Vienna, Fribourg, Bucharest and Delft, as well as SCL events in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.
