Iris BaguilatPresident at Döhle Seafront Crewing
Iris Baguilat is the President of Döhle Seafront Crewing (Manila), Inc. She is a lawyer who held executive positions in various companies and organizations in the Philippine Maritime sector. She acts as a lead consultant to several government agencies involved in shaping the Philippine shipping laws. Her most recent involvement has been at the forefront of the country's efforts to answer the challenges posed by the pandemic, especially in the ensuing "humanitarian crisis" on crew change. Together with a group of manning agency executives, IMEC, and ITF, she advocates Filipino seafarers’ welfare by proactively providing solutions to private and government sectors, and addressing the impending loss of jobs in the industry caused by the disruption in crew employment processes and transportation. She has recently spearheaded chartering of international flights that brought home 240 seafarers and deployed some 200 seafarers to help replenish the actively depleting crew presence onboard. She has also worked with industry key entities in launching enhanced maritime quarantine facilities in Manila – ensuring the safety of Filipino seafarers, a continuous supply of crew onboard, and the global economy running.
