Gerry Went to sea with Denholm Ship Management in 1968; he went from Junior engineer to Chief Engineer (steam and motor) and left sea in 1982 after sailing on tankers/bulk carriers/container vessels.

Ashore Gerry held a number of positions in various parts of the world and the industry:  

Manager Offshore with Denholm MacClay in Bombay India

Manager new build team for Denholm Ship Management in La Spezia Italy

Technical Director Canada Steamship Lines Montreal and St. Catharines, Canada

Managing Director Wallem Ship Management in Hong Kong

President Genco Shipping & Trading in New York

Retired December 2014

In January 2015 accepted position as Managing Director for the Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry in Hong Kong.

Currently the Managing Director and General Manager for LISCR Hong Kong and overseeing operations at LICR Manila.
