Caspar KruegerEngineer at Innovative Ship Simulation and Maritime Systems GmbH
Following his childhood dream to sail the seven seas Caspar studied Nautical Science at Wismar University. After graduation, he became a member in the research institute of Knud Benedict, Professor for Ship Dynamics and Theory. He was in charge for the EU unmanned-ship project MUNIN and the conceptual development of the SAMMON software. SAMMON is a simulation-augmented support system for planning, executing and debriefing complex berthing manoeuvres. Later, Caspar sailed as environmental and nautical officer aboard cruise ships using SAMMON to develop his manoeuvring strategies. He holds a Chief Mate license and consults the ISSIMS GmbH. Currently, he completes an extra-occupational course in Environmental Protection and Science with a master thesis in the field of hydraulic engineering in Hamburg.
