Dr Jenny Kent is a principal scientific consultant at Galson Sciences Ltd (GSL), part of Egis Group, where she has worked on a wide variety of projects relating to the treatment, packaging, interim storage and disposal of radioactive waste over the past 15 years. Specifically relating to interim storage, she worked on several projects to underpin the development of the UK NDA’s Industry Guidance on Interim Storage of Higher Activity Waste (HAW) and is currently authoring a Domain Insight on the topic for the European Commission (EC). She considers knowledge management to be essential to the long-term delivery of nuclear decommissioning programmes and has organised training courses and conferences for several EC projects.
