Jeffrey Herrera

Manager, Diversity and Inclusion Program at Biogen

Jeffrey Herrera is an early-career, diversity & inclusion professional that seeks to create cultures of equity, belonging and empowerment. His experience on a small, industry-leading team at a global company has provided him with valuable insight on how to effectively embed diversity & inclusion into an organization. As Manager, Diversity & Inclusion Programs, Biogen, he manages several projects that support the implementation of the company-wide D+I strategy. Most recently, he launched Ignite, Biogen’s Employee Resource Network for early-career professionals and their advocates. 

A 2015 graduate of Boston University’s College of Arts & Sciences, Jeffrey received a double major in Biology and Philosophy. He is the Vice Chair of the Boston University Young Alumni Council, and a graduate of The Partnership Inc’s Early Career Program, which supports the development of leadership skills for professionals of color in multi-generational organizations. Jeffrey also received his Diversity & Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University in May 2019. In his spare time, he is the Assistant Music Director for a semi-professional a cappella group, Fermata Town.
