Rachel Smith serves as the Vice President and General Manager of Air Products Canada Ltd. Rachel is responsible for the Air Products hydrogen and industrial gas business across Canada, including the existing operations, supply relationships and growth strategy.

Rachel is a professional engineer with over 15 years experience in Canada’s energy sector with roles that span technical, operations and commercial. Since joining Air Products in 2013, Rachel has driven significant growth in the hydrogen business across both California and Canada. This includes the recently announced Net-Zero Hydrogen Energy Complex being built in Edmonton, Alberta. This $1.6B investment will be transformative for the Edmonton region - creating new jobs, reducing GHG emissions across several sectors and making Edmonton home to the lowest carbon hydrogen network in the world. Rachel is dedicated to help the hydrogen economy develop in a safe, reliable, and sustainable manner across Canada to help enable a cleaner energy future for everyone.
