Ibrahim Al-Safadi, founder and CEO of Luminus Education Group, is a Jordanian serial entrepreneur whose passion and commitment is to help young people improve their lives.He started his entrepreneurial journey by taking over the family business in 1999 as a Palestinian refugee from Gaza. His own experience as a frustrated student by the educational system in the Arab world has motivated him to start his journey in promoting the Education-for-Employment (E4E) model. Ibrahim’s vision has been driven by his “for-good, for profit” philosophy that aims to elevate the potential of the youth and improve their quality of life. In 20 years, Ibrahim succeeded to turn a small college of 150 students and 30 employees into the largest private sector TVET provider in the region employing more than 600 employees. It has graduated over 50,000 students with a job placement rate of 75%. He turned the family business into a corporate company that includes international shareholders such as the IFC. As a recognition for his contribution, Ibrahim was awarded the Jordanian citizenship in 2004 and he has been internationally featured in many conferences such as in the World Economic Forum. Ibrahim also won the CEO Award during that IFC 8th Global Private Education Conference - Learning for the jobs of Tomorrow - Cape Town, April 2018.
