Dr Shaun Robison is the CEO of GSM Middle East and BBD Education. He has worked with investors, governments, real estate developers, educators’ and parents in the MENA education sector for 15 years.

From 2008 to 2012, Shaun worked extensively across the public school system in Abu Dhabi as part of the first PPP project. During this time, he implemented the Lead Practitioner programme across 47 public schools in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.

Since then, he has delivered numerous projects across the GCC. Recently, he successfully completed Phase 1 of the Oman Ministry of Education’s PPP programme, which involved the advisory work on a new digital strategy for Oman, and the re-purposing of 42 government school buildings.

BBD has opened over 16 schools in the last 7 years, ranging from premium UK schools in the UAE, to premium IB schools in Ahmedabad, India.

Shaun has worked with various private equity organisations, and raised capital to grow school groups, as well as for new greenfield projects.

Shaun completed his PhD in Education with Newcastle University, and has published several research papers on the GCC education sector. He is also a regular contributor to the Business Breakfast on Dubai Eye Radio, and a regular contributor to The Entrepreneur Magazine.
