Victor Guthrie, Ed.D. is the Assistant Superintendent at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
Joining ACS in 2013, Dr. Guthrie brings more than 20 years to his role. Prior to that, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Sohve, as well as the E-Network Group, LLC, a private firm providing communication and collaboration tools to underserved public management markets. Dr. Guthrie also has worked with six different school districts and one county office of education, in addition to consulting for numerous public and private institutions.
Primarily, his professional focuses have included assessing short and long-term administrative and instructional technology needs; researching and designing professional development offering to increase teacher proficiency and achieve district and department goals; utilization, and security of available technology; designing, testing, and evaluating network systems; and providing leadership in the development of information management systems and educational technology applications.
Dr. Guthrie earned a Doctorate of Educational Leadership in Transformational Change from University of California San Diego, a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Ball State University.
