Ivor McGettigan is a Partner in the Employment & Incentives practice based in Abu Dhabi, and is Head of the firm’s Education Sector group.

Ivor advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship from recruitment to retirement. He has particular experience in advising Abu Dhabi based clients on the latest trends and practices within that market. As well as advising on the Labour Law he has advised extensively on the Federal Civil Service Law, Abu Dhabi Civil Service Law and all associated employment issues. Ivor regularly speaks and presents on employment law matters including on the radio and TV.

On the Education front, prior to moving to the region, Ivor was a Partner in a boutique firm in Dublin which focused heavily on the education sector. He advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship from recruitment to retirement, and has advised education providers from schools to universities on a wide range of issues including employment, tenure and academic freedom, drafting of policies, disciplinary proceedings, rationalisation programmes and termination agreements.
