Szilvia Szekely is Deputy Head of Unit of the E-commerce and Data Economy antitrust unit in DG Competition of the European Commission. Previously, she was a member of the Digital Single Market Task Force responsible for the sector inquiry into e-commerce, following several years of antitrust enforcement in the field of IT, internet and consumer electronics. Prior to that, she was dealing with state aid cases at DG Competition, in the energy sector, relating mainly to the liberalisation of that sector. Prior to her functions at the European Commission, she worked as an associate at the Department of European and Competition Law of the French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel (Paris). Prior to joining the Paris office, she worked as a junior associate in the Budapest office of Gide Loyrette Nouel.
