Edwin BondAssociate at Bristows
Edwin is an associate in Bristows’ Competition and EU team. He has particular experience of working with businesses in the technology and pharmaceutical sectors, and regularly advises clients on the complex issues arising where competition law and IP law intersect. From 2014 to 2016, Edwin was a key member of the Bristows team that represented Samsung in its competition and FRAND litigation against Unwired Planet and Ericsson. More recently, he has helped to advise:
- ZTE in its multi-jurisdictional FRAND dispute with Conversant Wireless, and Philips in its UK FRAND litigation against Vestel;
- a global consumer electronics company which was investigated by the European Commission for resale price maintenance;
- a global pharmaceutical company in a dispute relating to post-patent-expiry royalties.
Edwin has written for publications such as European Competition Law Review and the Licensing Journal, and regularly contributes to Bristows’ blog on the competition/IP interface, the CLIP Board.
