Matthew Hunt
Associate at Bristows

Matthew is an associate in the Competition and EU department at Bristows.

Matthew’s litigation experience includes high-profile cases involving allegations of abuse of dominance against a technology company and ‘FRAND’ aspects of standard essential patent licensing. During his training he was also part of a team acting in litigation relating to mobile device management, and he gained further exposure to contentious matters in the TMT sector during a secondment to a leading internet services company.

Matthew has experience dealing with the practical issues that arise during litigation, particularly in relation to confidentiality, co-ordinating litigation across jurisdictions, and overlapping European Commission investigations.

Matthew also advises on a broad range of competition law issues from general compliance and dawn raids to specific commercial agreements. He is a regular contributor to the Bristows CLIP Board blog on the interface between competition and IP law.
