Simon Burden is a UK based competition lawyer. He trained and spent five years as a qualified lawyer at Norton Rose, and subsequently worked for two years in the General Counsel’s Office at the OFT, in the run up to its transformation into the CMA in 2014. He then moved in house, to HSBC, where he became head of competition law for retail and commercial banking. Simon joined Vodafone Group in December 2016, where he has worked on merger clearances, antitrust cases, and behavioral advice, in a diverse range of jurisdictions, and has responsibility for Vodafone’s global competition compliance programme. He recently obtained an MA in economics for competition law from Kings College London.
