Sabine Schmid is leading a department in Risk Division of Erste Group, responsible for Recovery and Resolution Planning and Coordination of Risk/ESG related topics. Her unit is the direct contact person for the group resolution authority and related national resolution authorities. The unit is responsible for group wide steering and governance of resolution related topics, including implementation of resolution strategy, testing, resolution reporting, coordination & maintenance of playbooks, MREL methodology. The team coordinates and supports more than 15 entities within Erste Group in recovery and resolution matters.

Before engaging in the Recovery and Resolution topics, Sabine spent nine years in financial controlling and Performance Management. She spent her early career with other companies mainly in the financial area. Sabine holds a Master’s degree ‘MA in business’ from FH Burgenland, international economic relations, Austria.
