Diana Smallridge is president and CEO of International Financial Consulting Ltd., a firm she founded in 2000. Offering customized solutions and expert advisory services to public financial institutions and governments worldwide. Diana has consolidated a high caliber team of global professionals and successfully overseen the execution of over 250 projects in 65 countries. As IFCL celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year, Diana is widely recognized as one of the foremost advisors and pacesetters in the field.
Diana’s in-depth global expertise regarding trade and investment, and development finance has elevated her reputation as a published author and prominent specialist in the field. She is known for being a trailblazing thought-leader on current issues such as blended finance and climate finance. Diana is a sought-after speaker and facilitator for workshops and conferences internationally. In 2019 Diana was selected as an Inspirational Woman in Finance by Trade Finance Global Magazine.
Diana has authored numerous publications on the role of National Development Banks and international trade and investment, and is a leading expert in development and export finance systems and their role as catalysts of economic growth. Diana is also the creator of the Full Potential© strategic planning methodology as well as the Health Diagnostic Tool©, products deployed by development institutions around the world to measure and improve organizational performance.
Diana graduated from Queens University, in Kingston, Ontario with a Masters of Arts in Economics. She worked with the Export Development Canada for 12 years, where she was Director, International Relations, as well as Special Advisor to the President. She departed in 2000 upon founding International Financial Consulting Ltd.
Diana has been the Conference Chairman for the Annual Global Convention on Insuring Export Credit and Political Risk since 2001.
