Brendan HerleyDirector at Wells Fargo
Brendan works in Wells Fargo’s Financial Institutions Group in New York and spearheads the bank’s Loan Syndications & Risk Mitigation effort for the Americas. Brendan focuses mainly on primary market loans to financial institution borrowers but also sells bank assets in the secondary market and engages with supply chain finance and corporate banking colleagues. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in February 2015, Brendan spent 10 years with Standard Chartered Bank (also in New York) in a similar capacity having previously worked for London Forfaiting in both London (credit analyst – 1995-99) and New York (marketing – 2000-04).
Brendan is also a board member and former president of the Association of Trade & Forfaiting in the Americas (ATFA), and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Geography from University College London and a Master’s in International Relations from London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
