Orria GoñiSDG Financing and South-South Cooperation Advisor at UNDP
Orria is the SDG Finance and South-South Cooperation Advisor at UNDP’s Africa Sustainable Finance Hub, based in South Africa, where she leads the support to Sub-Saharan African countries to find innovative financing solutions for SDG implementation, through the Integrated National Financing Framework initiative, putting the SDGs at the heart of the financing systems, and promoting south-south and triangular cooperation partnerships.
Orria is lawyer and development professional with 22 years of experience working with UNDP, the AECID (Spanish development cooperation agency), Lawyers without Borders and the International Red Cross. With UNDP, she has worked in Senegal and Turkey as well as at HQ level in New York on governance, human rights and strategic development planning and financing, covering the last 8 years Sub-Saharan Africa based first in Addis Ababa and now in South Africa. Orria is fluent in English, French and Spanish and has a Law degree from the Universidad de Navarra and a Master´s degree in International Development from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
