Global Claims Director Financial Solutions at Willis Towers Watson

Claire is responsible for the management of credit and political risk claims globally and has been in the insurance industry since 1998. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson in 2017 she was the Head of Trade Credit and Political Risk Underwriting at Hiscox, managing a portfolio of global risks including ECA and multilateral insurance policies and working closely on claims and recoveries. She has worked in the industry for over 23 years and prior to insurance she worked at Ernst and Young.

Learning from losses is vital and an important part of the claims work that Claire undertakes. The lessons learned from other claims and distressed debt scenarios, without breaching our confidentiality commitments, is important as it can help you to implement changes to your internal processes and guidelines in order to be better positioned in the event of future losses.

Claire works with various insurance market bodies on topical initiatives for political and credit risks insurance.

A BA (Hons) German graduate from Bristol University, Claire is ACII qualified and a Chartered Insurer.
