Daniel de Búrca is Head of Public Affairs at the International Credit Insurance and Surety Association, responsible for coordinating ICISA’s response to international regulatory and policy developments, as well as working with regulators, policymakers and other key stakeholders to build greater understanding of the role of trade credit insurance and surety in building resiliency and supporting the real economy.
Prior to joining ICISA, Daniel worked as a regulatory specialist for PwC UK focusing on international and domestic regulatory developments. He has also worked for the Corporation of Lloyd’s, where he was responsible for Lloyd’s international regulatory engagement strategy with a particular focus on Lloyd’s global trading rights and market access. Daniel also spent time seconded to HM Treasury in the UK Government where he advised on financial services treatment in FTAs, and the WTO and GATS system, as well as the EU’s approach to equivalence for third countries.
Daniel holds a MA in International Relations from King’s College London and a BA in History, Politics and International Relations from University College Dublin.
