Frédéric ThomasConservation agriculture specialist at Farmer/Grower Perspective
After obtaining a diploma as an agricultural technician in France, followed by numerous periods in the USA and Australia, Frédéric Thomas taught mechanics and agronomy in a French agricultural high school.
In parallel, he began worked as an advisor on simplifying soil management. In 1999, he created “TCS” magazine to respond to growing farmer demand for information on no-till farming.
Being a farmer himself in Sologne (France), il cultivated sandy soils subject to waterlogging. Il improved the soil fertility through a combination of no-till, new crop rotations, cover crops and composts.
Marrying theory and practice with a broad European and international network, he is one of the drivers of conservation agriculture in France today.
