Elaine Tait is currently Head of Foresight at UPLAND - a Foresight-Led Growth, Brand, and Innovation Consultancy - where her primary role is to help clients envision the future in ways that enable them to set long-term strategies and make future decisions and investments with confidence. Through her work interpreting future signals, mapping their impact, and developing future scenarios in an ecosystem, Elaine delivers new product and experience innovations, brand positioning strategies, BD/M&A/corporate strategies, and strategic plans for clients. An experienced corporate strategist, start-up advisor, and trained futurist, Elaine has over 15+ of experience helping companies across consumer industries and at all stages of growth.
Elaine has played a central role in establishing UPLAND’s perspective, approach, and methodologies, while serving a client set that includes Carhartt, 4moms, Roush, Haribo, and Theo, among others.
Prior to UPLAND, Elaine was a consultant for Prophet - a Growth and Transformation Consultancy in Chicago and served various strategy, sales, and marketing roles at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products in numerous locations on the East Coast and Midwest.
She has an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS from The Pennsylvania State University in Business Logistics + Operations.
During COVID, Elaine temporarily permanently escaped to a farm in Northern Michigan, where the outdoors inspires and fuels most aspects of her life. Elaine is a mom, distance runner, avid reader + redditor, and antiquarian.
