Patrick GoschyInventor & New Product Development at Exxon Mobil
The Godfather of the Wii Remote
Pat is one of the inventors of a patent for the use of an accelerometer in a video game controller. He developed this technology while working at Midway Amusement Games. When Nintendo released the Wii in 2006 they were the first company to bring a game controller with an accelerometer to market. Nintendo has 60 patents that refer to Pat's work as prior art.
I am a concept development leader, inventor, engineer and speaker. I use relentless curiosity for new technology development and solving complex challenges. I ask questions to identify customer needs then I take existing technologies and combine them in ways that disrupt reality. I have the in-depth knowledge of complex systems to realize quickly if a new concept will work and the experience to know if the product will generate revenue.
What this means for your company:
• Insight into customer needs
• Rapid customer validation
• More viable solutions
• Short-term, medium-term and long-term innovation
• New value propositions, products and services
• Faster time to market
• Decreased risk
• Increased revenue
My passion is to help teams recognize, early on, which new idea offers the most profitable solution and then create innovative prototypes that are engineered into products that generate significant revenue.
