Zeinab Ali is a Senior Director, R&D leading Global Fruits & Vegetable Product development for PepsiCo R&D the Nutrition Category. She began her career in the Food industry at Kraft Foods and Nabisco in various R&D capacities, including Quality, Product and New technology development for Oreo, chips Ahoy! and100 calorie brands. Zeinab joined PepsiCo in 2005 to create and lead Quaker US Foods Product & Process innovation where she led the research & development of Weight Control and Solu-Oats Programs. In 2007, as part of Gatorade transformation, Zeinab took a newly established breakthrough Innovation role, responsible for identifying and building technical capabilities in ingredients and delivery systems to create and deliver a tangible performance and nutrition benefits for athletes via G-series performance and G-Natural platforms. In 2010, Zeinab’s role expanded to include PepsiCo Global Hydration brands and Sports Nutrition (Gatorade/Propel). In 2013, PepsiCo North America Juice R&D (Tropicana and Naked Juice) product development was added to Zeinab’s portfolio. As part of PepsiCo’s Global R&D Transformation, Zeinab took the responsibility of leading Global R&D Functional Capabilities Formulations for Fruits & Vegetable; Sports Nutrition; Dairy; Grains & Culinary for Global initiatives and Region Breakthrough Innovation in 2015.
Zeinab is two-time PepsiCo Academy of Science winner and a Dean of Products for R&D College, PepsiCo University.
Zeinab holds BSc degree in Food Science from University of Wisconsin and MSc. degree in Food Science/Microbiology from Cornell University.
