Mark has been involved in addressing financial crime for over 25 years with his career spanning the globe, in both developed and developing markets, in the public and private sectors and in a range of different roles - from international and national policy making to implementation, investigation and enforcement. After over 16 years in Hong Kong with positions with the police’s financial crimes investigation unit, the financial intelligence unit and HSBC, Mark focused on supporting developing countries with time spent at the World Bank assisting client governments in developing their AML-CFT regimes. He then played a key role in establishing the integrity framework of the World Bank’s private sector financing arm, International Finance Corporation and later at the UK’s development finance institution, CDC Group. He is currently Chief Compliance Officer for Nordic Investment Bank, a regional investment bank owned by the Governments of the Nordic and Baltic regions.
