Rachel Wang is the Head of Strategic Development for the Asia Pacific region of RGAX, a subsidiary of RGA, the innovation accelerator of Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA). Rachel oversees RGAX’s strategic investment initiatives and supports clients with their transformation efforts, delivering bespoke solutions for digital distribution, customer engagement and advanced data and analytics.
Based in Hong Kong, Rachel works closely with various business units across the global RGAX and RGA network. She applies her extensive experience in investment, innovation and business development to move the industry forward.
She facilitates client growth using her talent for establishing strong strategic partnerships and bringing business value to clients.
Before joining RGAX, Rachel worked with global financial institutions and management consulting firms to build their businesses and redesign the customer experience in China. Her experience and network, developed as a corporate strategic investor in Fintech and Insurtech, position her with a strong, holistic perspective when approaching businesses at all stages of growth. Through strong partnerships and tactical investments, Rachel has created new commercial value to countless businesses.
Rachel has been responsible for bringing new businesses and technology innovations to market, with a focus on enhancing the customer experience and industry competitiveness.
Rachel’s ability to establish and implement strategies in market entry, business scale-up, partnership, channel management, salesforce management, digitization and process reengineering enable her to drive strategic change for client organizations of all sizes.
Rachel has an entrepreneurial mindset and leverages her experience and education to exceed client needs. She holds an MBA from Babson College – Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business and a Master of Science degree in International Banking and Finance from University of Glasgow.
