Yi Mien Koh
Chief Partnership Officer, Asian Markets at AXA Asia


Dr Yi Mien Koh is Chief Partnership Officer, Asian Markets of AXA Asia. Prior to joining AXA Asia, Dr Koh was Managing Director, Health and Employee Benefits, AXA Hong Kong and Macau. She was previously Group Medical Director of AIA.
Dr Koh studied medicine at Melbourne University and received her specialist training in public health medicine in the UK and Australia. She has a Master in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, an MBA from Cass Business School, UK and a Doctor of Business Administration from Cranfield University, UK. Dr Koh is a Fellow of the UK Faculty of Public Health, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. She is also a Fellow of the Life Management Institute, USA.
Dr Koh’s career in healthcare spans every level of the health system across the UK, Australia and Asia. She has served as CEO of a health authority and a teaching hospital in London. Previous roles include being a Chief Medical Officer in Australia, Medical Director and Director of Performance in London, and clinical advisor to health regulators in the UK. She has been Honorary Professor at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Visiting Professor at James Cook University Australia.
Entrepreneurial, inspiring and creative, Dr Koh combines exceptional leadership, networking, marketing and business development skills. She loves to build strong strategic business partnerships to help parties realize the full potential of their brand for growth.
Dr Koh is passionate about health and wellbeing, healthcare, financial inclusion, female empowerment, sustainability and digital. She sees insurance playing a critical role to achieve the sustainability of health ecosystems.
