Profile
Conan advises the IIF on new technologies in financial services and the transformation they are driving across banking, payments, insurance, asset management and the public sector. He tracks blockchain, distributed ledger, mobile, cloud, machine learning, AI process automation, and other data technologies to identify key developments for the industry. Research, meetings, and events on these topics provide global leadership with a better understand the opportunities and implications. In 2015 Conan helped create the IIF regtech initiative to draw attention to the potential for new technologies to solve regulatory and compliance challenges more effectively and efficiently.
Conan has experience working on innovations in finance from both the private and public sector. He has launched mobile payment ventures including co-founding OnGo Asia and Open Revolution. Earlier experience in his career included work at the Department of State USAID, and US Treasury Department. Conan earned his MBA from Georgetown University and his BA in history and economics from Dickinson College. While at USAID, he was the US Representative on the Council of Governors for the World Bank’s CGAP.
