Sara Tresch leads the Digital Accelerator, User Experience & Research as well as Digital Transformation and Innovation efforts at Schwab. The Digital Accelerator delivers innovation for our clients through two programs – our Innovation Labs and our Client Journeys. The Accelerator teams also drive innovation in the way we work by testing and implementing product development practices that accelerate our speed, quality, and efficiency. The User Experience Design & Research teams support our digital product development across the firm by using the leading design thinking and user research methods. Sara and team partner across Digital Services and extended teams to develop, institutionalize, and scale design and product development practices through the Digital Professional Development Program and the Digital Accelerator.
Prior to Schwab, Sara was with American Express where she most recently served as Vice President/General Manager, Strategy and Business Operations for the firm’s $12B U.S. Consumer Services division. Sara held numerous leadership roles during her 15-year career at American Express including COO, CMO and product lead across various consumer and business segments. Sara started her career in Investment Banking where she focused on Mergers and Acquisitions in the Technology and Healthcare sectors. She has a proven track record of fueling business growth and customer engagement through technology disruption.
Sara holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in economics from Princeton University Sara serves as an Executive co-Sponsor of the Schwab PRIDE employee group, is a Board advisor to technology start-ups, and holds her FINRA Series 7 and 24 registrations. She and her family live in the Bay Area.
