Dan Long leads growth investments at Cohen Circle, a multi-stage investment firm founded by financial services pioneers, Betsy and Daniel Cohen.
Dan has co-founded two fintech start-ups: PeerIQ (acquired by Cross River Bank) and ARTBLX. Previously, Dan served as Portfolio Manager of a Structured Credit fund at Resource America consisting of CLOs, residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities, and esoteric ABS. Prior to that Dan was a Proprietary Credit Trader at Barclays Capital in the Portfolio Management Trading Group where he held numerous positions including Head of CLO Proprietary Trading and Non-Agency Mortgage Trading.
Dan began his career in structured finance at Barclays Capital in Structured Funds Group issuing cash, synthetic, and hybrid structured product assets including CLOs, trust preferred, and ABS collateralized debt obligations.Dan holds a dual B.A. in Mathematics and in Philosophy with dual honors from University of California, Berkeley and an M.A. in Philosophy (Mathematical Logic) from Stanford University and was a Ph.D. candidate in Mathematics and Computer Science at Universite de Paris 7 – Denis Diderot.
