Jonathan ConsalvoChief Compliance Officer at Oxygen
Jonathan joined Oxygen in January 2019 and is responsible for the company’s Compliance Management System (CMS), which involves an integrated compliance framework for Oxygen’s consumer and commercial product set - entailing both checking and savings accounts.
Prior to Oxygen, Jonathan spent eight years at Treliant Risk Advisors and is an experienced regulatory compliance professional who has consulted for regulatory agencies, international banks, non-bank financial services providers, established fintechs and burgeoning startups. He has advised clients on the design and implementation of compliance management systems, including the execution of training programs, risk assessments, internal testing and complaint management. His time at Treliant involved the drafting of institution-specific policies, procedures and processes, conducting regulatory compliance audits and compliance risk assessments, and evaluations of corporate governance structures.
Jonathan was an annual contributor to the American Bankers Association’s (ABA) Reference Guide to Regulatory Compliance from 2015 through 2017. He has also co-authored a white-paper, Banking on Women, for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), regarding financial inclusion of women small-business owners and obstacles banks must overcome in serving them better. His most recent publication in Fintech Futures focuses on the compliance aspect within the relationship of fintechs and banks.
Jonathan received an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business and holds a B.A. in Political Economy from Tulane University. He is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
