Joel Brightfield is a Principal with SixThirty, a global early stage venture capital fund and go-to-market program. SixThirty invests in enterprise focused fintech and insurtech companies from across the globe and works with like-minded corporate partners to mentor and accelerate their growth.
With SixThirty, Joel leads the fund’s investment activities, coordinating sourcing, due diligence, and investment negotiation across a team based in St. Louis, Amsterdam, and Singapore. Over the past three years, Joel has helped the fund make investments in over 30 early stage, b2b, fintech and insurtech companies.
Prior to his role with SixThirty, Joel was a Senior Consultant with Aon’s institutional investment consulting practice where he advised large asset owners on their investment policies, asset allocation, investment manager selection, and reported to their governing bodies on portfolio performance and capital market developments. In his time with Aon, Joel also led the firm’s research around asset servicing, liquidity management, and securities lending.
Joel received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Butler University and earned his MBA from Washington University’s Olin Business School.
