Rob TrianoSenior BSA/AML Risk Specialist at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco
Rob currently serves as a Senior Risk Specialist within the Regional Institution Group for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He has over 13 years of banking experience, with six in the private sector and seven with two districts of the Federal Reserve System. While working in the private sector from 2006-2011, he completed a wide range of job functions, including but not limited to risk assessment, financial crime investigations, and client due diligence. Rob was a Safety and Soundness and BSA examiner while working at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City from 2011-2015; the latter two years he also served as the BSA Risk Coordinator and lead BSA examiner for the district. Rob took a VP, Compliance Program Manager role for one year at a mid-size institution where he was primarily responsible for reviewing varying aspects of the BSA program and had direct oversight of the OFAC function. Since joining the San Francisco district in 2016, Rob has been active in the supervision of financial institutions with international operations/activities, Fintech, and cryptocurrency risk exposures, and is frequently engaged in the topic of AML Innovation throughout the Federal Reserve System. He holds CAMS and CAFP designations, a Safety & Soundness Commission, and a Masters of Business Administration.
